Alia Bhatt pulled off a massive deadlift at the gym as her trainer Sohrab Khushrushahi narrated the story in an Instagram post on Thursday. "New personal best done," Sohrab said in the caption as Alia deadlifted 70kg during her workout session. Well, that is actually something.
In the caption, Sohrab briefly explained that Alia had not lifted weights "too often in her life" as she began training earlier in 2019. "It took a while to get her to start enjoying being strong - not skinny - strong! The first time she tried a deadlift, we used one single 20lb dumbbell and that wasn't even 9 months back," Sohrab wrote.

Soon after, Alia "rocked it" as she deadlifted 50kg few weeks ago. Considering her enthusiasm, Sohrab decided to "push that weight a little higher" and after her warm-up sessions, Alia managed to "cruise through" three reps at 60kg. In the meantime, Sohrab described the moment as he missed a count. "I got the stare," he said.
"Love the fact that she just NEVER backs down from what's put in front of her. New personal best done and now we're going to try and smash it again, soon. What say? Stay the same @aliaabhatt - we've got a lot of work to do," Sohrab continued in his post and also shared pictures from the workout session.
