In a first of its kind initiative in the state, the Jalandhar administration led by Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori has come up with a pilot project to provide vaccination facilities to citizens at affordable
prices in the city on Saturday.
Throwing light on this initiative, the DC said that the district relief society has procured 1000 doses of COVAXIN, which were being administered at three-session sites i.e. HMV, KMV, and Lyallpur Khalsa College. Anyone above 18-years can book a vaccination slot by visiting the booking link www.citywoofer.com/event/vaccination-drive, said Mr. Thori, adding as no spot registration and payment would be accepted.

The deputy commissioner also mentioned that the administration through the district relief society is providing this vaccine at a price that is less than half the amount being charged in private hospitals for the same jab. He stated that the registered beneficiaries could visit the concerned session sites between 10 am to 2 pm daily.
Mr. Thori stated that all citizens must carry their Aadhaar Card, confirmed booking slip, and other necessary documents with them when they visit any of the three-session sites for jab adding the registrations are non-transferable and cannot be changed once booked.
