Major Mukund's sisters

Amaran has not much dug into Major Mukund's relationship with his sisters Nithya and Swetha. However, the makers showcased that both Nithya and Swetha were welcoming. For instance, when Major Mukund introduced Indhu as his girlfriend to the family, his mother Geetha did not like her. Geetha outlined Indhu's Christian religion. However, Swetha and Nithya welcome Indhu with open arms along with their father.

As per Honour Point, Major Mukund grew up with two sisters, Swetha and Nithya, who were his constant companions and shared a close-knit family bond. While not much is available about Nithya and Swetha in the public domain as they both keep their life private, one of the sisters recently appeared for an interview on a Tamil YouTube channel.

Galatta Pink's YouTube channel has shared a video of Major Mukund's daughter where she opened up about her bond with Major Mukund.

Who was Major Mukund?

Major Mukund Varadarajan was an Indian Army Officer and a recipient of the Ashoka Chakra. Major Mukund gave his ultimate sacrifice while serving his country for the 44th Rashtriya Rifles, a unit of the Indian Army. Born on 12 April 1983 to a Tamil-speaking family, Mukund Varadarajan was a native of Paruthipattu Village, Avadi, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

As shown in the movie, Major Mukund was heading a special unit named 'CAT' of 44 Rashtriya Rifle that neutralised notorious terrorists like Altaf Baba and Asif Wani. However, during the operation to neutralise Asif Wani (fictional name), he sacrificed his life for the nation.  Due to his ultimate sacrifice, Major Mukund's wife received Ashok Chakra in 2014 from the Government of India on the occasion of Republic Day.
