In a heinous development that has come to fore from Ambala, a 7-year-old girl was raped by her cousin on 8th November 2022. Although this heinous crime took place days back but came into light on Wednesday. As per information, accused was arrested by police officials based on complaint registered.
Reportedly, it was on 8th of November when the victim was alone at home and taking advantage of same her cousin committed this crime. After knowing this, victim’s mother got a complaint registered against accused. Post this, victim’s mother is now being pressurized by accused’s mother to take case back. She also threatened to get other daughters raped as well.
The relatives of the victim met ASP Pooja Dabla and requested her to look into the matter. Prior to this, family members also met SP Jashandeep Singh Randhawa who assured to take appropriate action.
As per reports, Mahila Thana police registered a case against the accused under POCSO Act after recording the statement of victim's mother. The accused is a minor and will be sent to the juvenile home in Karnal.
