Ambulance-truck crash in Jalandhar kills driver, leaves patient critical.

A tragic road accident occurred on Saturday morning in Jalandhar, Punjab, where a speeding truck collided with an ambulance transporting a patient. The impact caused the ambulance to overturn in the middle of the road, resulting in the driver’s death on the spot. 

The accident took place near the Chaugitti flyover in Jalandhar. The ambulance was en route to the hospital when a high-speed truck rammed into it from behind. The collision caused the ambulance to lose control and flip over. While the driver died instantly, the patient being transported sustained critical injuries. The injured patient was immediately transferred to a hospital in another ambulance for treatment.

Authorities arrived promptly at the scene, recovered the driver’s body, and sent it to the Civil Hospital in Jalandhar for postmortem. The overturned ambulance was cleared from the road with the help of a crane, and traffic was restored. 

An ongoing investigation is being conducted to determine whether negligence or overspeeding was the cause of the accident.
