On Monday, France has opened Covid-19 vaccines for all adults as Europe races to avoid second wave of coronavirus caused by new variants.
Nearly 38 percent of the population, 25.4 million people, have received the first jab of the Covid vaccine, which is one of the two adults. And nearly 12 million people have taken both jabs and are fully vaccinated.
According to a Cevipof poll conducted in early May, nearly 65 percent of adults showed interest in getting vaccinated in May month, which was up from 48 percent in February.
Professor Alian Fischer, the immunologist and head of the vaccination advisory board, said, “I am fully convinced that we are going to see a lot of people getting vaccinated. Immunization is only a key to get back to the normal life.”

France has 28 million adults who are eligible for the first dose, and nearly half a million people are administered each day. Therefore, France residents are traveling to the neighboring regions to get Pfizer or Moderna shots.
The French government is hoping that it will receive 76.7 million vaccines in June which will help to meet vaccine demands.
So far the virus has killed 109,431 people in France.
On May 19, after seven months the French government opened the sidewalk cafes and restaurants, museums, cinemas, theatres, and other non-essential shops. The next stage of unlocking falls on June 9, when the timing of the night curfew would be pulled back from 9 pm to 11 pm.
