When Amitabh Bachchan first sat down to play Kaun Banega Crorepati at the turn of the millennium, it was a different India. The play has now become a part of Indian pop culture, daily discussions, and many of our fantasies, over two decades later. Amitabh will bring daughter Shweta Nanda and granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda to the sets to play the game as KBC approaches 1000 episodes this week.

A reel highlights the program's two-decade history, including the first crorepati, the first person to win Rs 7 crores, the first woman and child to become crorepatis, and how the show and its host impacted people's lives. At the end of the video, Amitabh becomes emotional. The game, he continues, is far from done.
He teases in video that Shweta and Navya will have a difficult time. Navya inquires about Amitabh's preparations for hosting the two of them. "You question whomever is on the hot seat how they are preparing for KBC." So, how did you prepare for us?" I'd want to question you today. "Jalebi ki tarah seede sawaal honge aur bhool bhulaiyaa ke tarah aasan (The questions will be as straight as a jalebi and the quiz will be as easy as a maze)," Big B responds.' "He waited for 999 episodes to complete," Shweta said while laughing.
Amitabh had previously wrote on his blog about his daughter and granddaughter, “The banter of the family dining table, the repartee, and most importantly the several causes that the young at this age think about and work for. An evening of great pride for the father and grandfather – for Papa and Nana!”
