Punjab Police launched a crackdown on Waris Punjab De Chief Amritpal Singh on 18th March 2023 but he somehow dodged the officials and escaped. The manhunt against Amritpal Singh has entered the 7th day but still the Pro-Khalistan leader is far from Police’s grasp. As per the last information received, Amritpal Singh was in Haryana where he stayed with a lady for around two days and then escaped. Haryana lady Baljeet Kaur is currently under police custody. Recently, Amritsar Police carried out raid at Amritpal Singh’s residence and his village Jallupur Kheda.
Now, another shocking revelation has been made by police officials who conducted a raid at the Pro-Khalistan leader’s house. They stated that while investigating, Amritpal Singh’s family members told them that his passport is not at home. Police officials have revealed that Amritpal Singh’s passport is missing from his house in Jallupur Kheda. SSP Amritsar Rural confirmed this news. It is suspected that he may try to flee the country using his passport.
Police have suspected that Amritpal Singh’s family might have given his passport to a close associate who then delivered it to Amritpal. Punjab Government has issued a LOC against Waris Punjab De Chief so that he is not able to leave India at any cost. Apart from this, Amritpal Singh’s posters have also been circulated in various states so that he can be arrested soon.
For the unversed, Khanna Police on Thursday arrested Amritpal Singh’s gunman Tejinder Singh Gill aka Gorkha Baba. During the investigation, various anti-national materials were recovered from his phone. These materials have pointed out that Amritpal Singh was all set to turn Punjab into Khalistan.
