In an absolutely shocking incident, an 8-year-old girl was raped by a minor boy in a private school's lavatory in Amritsar, Punjab. The heinous crime took place on Friday, however, it came to light on Monday when the 8-year-old girl refused to go to school and started crying in front of her parents. As a result, many people took to the streets and created a ruckus to demand justice for the girl.
As per the victim's mother and father, their 8-year-old daughter (victim) studies in a public school located at Majitha Road Bypass. The incident occurred on Friday. The girl had gone from the classroom to the bathroom. The accused minor boy also studied in the same school. He was present there. As soon as the girl came out of the bathroom, the accused pulled her and took her back to the bathroom. The victim told her family members that the accused raped her in the bathroom and also threatened her to keep her mouth shut.
Following that the family informed the police. The police also took immediate action and arrested the minor accused. As soon as the information about the rape of an 8-year-old girl was received, the victim's family members and nearby people reached the school. The police assured them of appropriate action. But the angry mob first tried to enter the school, and when the police stopped them, they started vandalizing the shops and vendors around the bypass drain.
