Amritsar police have arrested gangster Malkit Singh, alias Nawab, with illegal weapons and bullet coins. During the press conference by Amritsar Rural Police, a police official said that under the campaign launched by DGP Punjab Police and Rural Police SSP against the miscreants, police have achieved great success.
The police official also disclosed that about 35 cases have been registered against smugglers in which about 46 accused have been arrested. 236 grams of heroin and 9484 narcotic pills and capsules have been recovered from them.
Another seven cases have been registered in which about seven accused have been nabbed with a large quantity of illicit liquor, police official Shubham Agarwal said. In a raid, against the gangsters, Amritsar rural police have registered 5 cases arresting five accused from whom a large number of arms and ammunition have been recovered.

Amritsar police also said that, if the public has any information against drug smugglers or gangsters, they must share it with the police. The name of the informant will be kept confidential.
