Shocking information has come to fore from Amritsar where Sudhir Kumar Suri, national head of Shiv Sena and Hindu Leader was shot at around 3:30 pm near Gopal Mandir. Reportedly, he was shot while the leader was protesting against idols that were found in dustbin a few days back.
As per the information, accused shot 2 bullets on him while he was on dharna. His supports were also present there when the incident took place. Explaining the incident, witnesses told that as he was on a protest, someone suddenly fired on him after which he was taken to the Escort Hospital by his security personnel.
Police reveal that some unidentified youths came near Gopal Mandi, opened fire on Sudhir Kumar Suri. Soon after this, he was taken to the hospital where he took his last breath.
The situation of city and area where he was shot has become very tense, and the security personnel along with police launched a search operation to find the shooters. As per latest updates, the shooter has been caught by the police. A large police force has also been deployed near Gopal Mandir to pacify the situation.
