Amritsar's famous Kanha Sweets has come under the scanner after a customer accused it of serving fungus-infected sweets. The customer shared a video of the sweets she bought from Kanha Sweets and showcased the green coloured fungus that infected it. Not only this, the customer also shared a screenshot of the UPI payment which was made at Kanha Sweets. The customer paid Rs 375 to buy the sweets from Amritsar's Kanha Sweets. For the unversed, Kanha Sweets is situated on Lawrence Road, Amritsar.
The customer raised concerns about the issue and stated that big shops serve poison. It is pertinent to mention here that one of the first things that may happen to you after eating fungus is food poisoning. The fungi and bacteria may irritate the stomach and cause severe complications as well. Vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, and acute abdominal pain are the initial symptoms of food poisoning. Fungus generally infects food items if it has been kept for a long time i.e. it is not fresh.
