Cheating is the other side of the coin, named as marriages or partnerships. Some people are not capable of remaining loyal and faithful to their spouse for their whole life. Society does not accept disloyalty, especially from women. Therefore, society makes the act of disloyalty, an act of guilt and condemnation.
But now, the sense of feeling entitled has given wings to women in every aspect, including marriage.
Country Manager of Gleeden India, an extramarital dating application managed by women, Sybil Shiddell said, “Having a higher percentage of male subscribers is common in the dating industry because men are usually more relaxed than women when it comes to putting themselves out there. Having a 30% of active female subscribers means that infidelity is no longer something that relates mostly to men.”

Education, economic independence, and the contemporary mindset have emboldened (married) women. Delhi-based psychiatrist Sarika Tripathi said, “Today, women want to have their cake and eat it too. Keeping intact those anticipations of a traditional family life replete with support, respectability, and off-spring, they want variety in bed.”
She further told, she has come across a client who was happy with her husband but still has an extramarital affair.
Women are switching towards online dating platforms because of some basic reasons, these are –
- Women found online dating safer and easier.
- Connecting and bonding are easy on dating applications.
- The dating pattern of these platforms is attractive, as some dating applications allow women to make the first move.
