Anand Mahindra asks netizens to name its upcoming 'Agri-drones'; impressed with THESE interesting names

Anand Mahindra wrote that drones are destined to be part of our daily lives, especially in the agriculture field, therefore if anyone can suggest the name of its upcoming agri-drones.

Indian business tycoon Anand Mahindra on Thursday shared Mahindra's upcoming Agri-drones promotional video and asked his followers to suggest its name. Anand Mahindra who remains quite active on social media took to his Twitter handle and shared the video. Sharing the video on Twitter, Anand Mahindra wrote that drones are destined to be part of our daily lives, especially in the agriculture field, therefore if anyone can suggest the name of its upcoming agri-drones. 

"Drones are destined to become a part of our daily lives. But nowhere will they have a more beneficial effect than in farmlands. Any ideas on what to name our Agri-drones? ‘Drone-acharya’ obviously works better for battle drones. What’s a good nickname for these green warriors?" wrote Anand Mahindra. 
As soon as Anand Mahindra asked his followers to suggest the name of Mahindra's upcoming agri-drones, many came out with some creatives names. However, Anand Mahindra liked two names suggested by his followers and also retweeted it with his reaction. One of the name suggested was 'droneagri (Drone-Agri).  Anand Mahindra called this name interesting. Another user suggested Mahindrone, to this Anand Mahindra replied with a happy face emoji suggesting he really liked the name. 





Agri-drones in Budget 2022

Notably, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman while presenting the Budget 2022 announced a scheme named as 'Kisan Drones Scheme'. As per the Finance Minister, Kisan Drones will be used for crop assessment, land records, spraying of insecticides expected to drive a wave of technology in the agriculture sector.

Furthermore, the Centre on Wednesday, February 9, prohibited the import of foreign drones in India with immediate effect. While the Centre has allowed the import of drones required for R&D, defence, and security purposes, due clearances would be required to import such drones.  The decision was taken to boost the Make In India initiative of PM Modi.
