Another bomb attack in Punjab as miscreants hurl grenade at Police station in Gurdaspur

Unknown men came in an auto rickshaw and threw a hand grenade at the Bakshiwal Police Station in Gurdaspur district of Punjab.

Incidents of bomb attacks targetting Police stations in Punjab are not stopping. A Police station in Gurdaspur was jolted by a grenade attack late Wednesday night. As per the information received, unknown men came in an auto rickshaw and threw a hand grenade at the post. The Bakshiwal post where the blast took place is in Kalanaur town. After the grenade attack,  police officers reached the spot. The bomb disposal squad and forensic experts were also called along with them.

As per reports, the Khalistani terrorist organization Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF) has taken responsibility for this attack by posting on social media. The auto from which the grenade was thrown has been taken into custody by the police. Investigations are currently underway. It is pertinent to mention here that this is the 7th attack in Punjab in the last 26 days, according to multiple reports. 

Who took responsibility of the Gurdaspur Police Station grenade attack?

As per reports, Khalistan Zindabad Force in an unverified Facebook post wrote, "Khalistan Zindabad Force takes responsibility for the hand grenade attack that took place at the outpost Bakshiwal of Thana Kalanaur on the night of 18 December 2024. This action has been carried out under the leadership of Jathedar Bhai Ranjit Singh Jammu."

Furthermore, it is said that the National Security Agency (NIA) has shared a report with the Punjab Police and alerted the state. The report of NIA claimed that a conspiracy is being hatched to terrorize Punjab with terrorist attacks. The first target in this will be the police stations of Punjab Police. 

Before this, in the wee hours of Tuesday, it was reported that a blast-like noise was heard outside Islamabad Police Station in Amritsar, Punjab. As per reports, the explosion was heard at the police station at around 3 am. However, police claimed that no blast occurred on the police station premises. They said a heavy object fell on the temporary police sentry post outside the police station.

A Germany-based gangster Jeevan Fouji claimed responsibility for the blast. He has also shared a post on social media that says, "Today, I take responsibility for the grenade thrown at the Islamabad police station in Amritsar. All this was done to warn the police about what has been done to the Sikhs and their families since 1984; and a precursor of what lies ahead."
