Bhajan singer and BJP leader Anup Jalota has spoken up on Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. The singer is in the limelight for commenting on his student, Jasleen Matharu‘s dressing sense. Recently, a few pictures of the two went viral in which they were seen dressed as bride and groom. Jalota first clarified that the pictures were taken from their upcoming movie in which he plays the role of Matharu’s father, and then said that he wouldn’t marry the girl even if he is 35.
However, the veteran singer's views on Sushant Singh Rajput's case might earn him a lot of criticism. Talking to a news channel he said, "The case of Sushant Singh Rajput and Rhea Chakraborty is being presented as a national issue, while it is not a national issue. It is about an actor and his girlfriend. It is not an issue of national security, which is to be taken up on priority or it should be protested on the streets. It is a matter related to the sentiment of the people."
Jalota, popularly known as Bhajan Samrat, joined BJP in 2004. He said, "He (Sushant Singh Rajput) was a really good actor. I praise his work, I have met him but his death should not be made a national issue. He should be given justice at the earliest."
