As it rained in Southampton on Friday, actress Anushka Sharma expressed her wish for the rain to 'go away,' as the Indian cricket team, captained by her cricketer husband Virat Kohli, prepares to play New Zealand in the World Test Championship (WTC) final at the Ageas Bowl.
Anushka Sharma wrote on Instagram Stories, against a bluish-purple background, "Rain.... rain.... go away ! Come again after 5 days", followed by an eyeroll emoji. Also Read: India vs New Zealand WTC Final: No play in the first session, Rain plays its part
Anushka has been sharing her journey to Southampton on social media. She posted a picture of her meal on Instagram Stories on Thursday night while watching a Test cricket match. “Tea and scones on a rainy English summer day,” she captioned it.
She had dropped a series of black-and-white photographs from the Ageas Bowl earlier on Thursday. "A 'take random photos and think of a quirky caption' kind of post," the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actor captioned the photos on Instagram. Anushka wore a striped long shirt with black leggings and a face mask in the monochromatic photos.
In the meantime, Anushka has been out of the public spotlight for the past two years. She most recently appeared in Zero alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. She recently produced two projects: Pataal Lok, an Amazon Prime Video web series, and Bulbul, a Netflix film.
