While Punjabi singer & rapper Shubh had to bear the burn of sharing a distorted Indian map when Punjab Police were on a hunt to nab Khalistani leader Amritpal Singh, another singer has come under the scanner of social media. Canada-based Punjabi singer AP Dhillon on Thursday took to his official Instagram page and accused political groups of misusing their social media posts. AP Dhillon's statement came moments after Shubh issued a clarification as to why he actually shared a distorted Indian map. As Shubh's 'Still Rollin Mumbai Concert' was cancelled by BookMyShow after social media outrage, singing sensation AP Dhillon is now facing a similar kind of criticism on Twitter.

As per netizens on social media, AP Dhillon disrespected the Tiranga by donning a 'Tricolour shoe' in his global hit song 'Without You'. Apart from this many questioned that AP Dhillon and other Punjabi singers and actors also shared similar kind of story on their social media handles so why the outrage was only against Shubh. However, after Shubh issued a detailed statement, AP Dhillon finally broke his silence urging the people to spread love, not hate. AP Dhillon's statement said-

"I try to stay out of all the social mania as it is clear to me that regardless of what I say or do, it is a lost cause... someone, somewhere, is going to spin the narrative to their liking and create more division. As an artist it has become almost impossible to stay focused on your craft and do what you love. I try to be mindful of everyone's sentiments but it's gotten to a point where we have to second and triple guess our every move due to the fear of unintentionally fueling even more division.

"Special interest and political groups constantly use our public image as a chess piece to further their agenda while we are just trying to make art that helps people on an individual level, regardless of their color, race, religion, nationality, gender, etc. Spread love not hate. Let's start thinking for ourselves and not let hateful influences program our beliefs. We are ALL one. Let's not let man made social constructs divide us. Division has gotten us to this point but unity is the key to the future."
