April Fools’ Day is observed on April 1st every year, and it is marked by the distribution of practical jokes and hoaxes. April fools day is a term used to refer to both the jokes and the people who fall for them. People performing April Fool’s pranks reveal their ruse by yelling “April Fools” aloud. There are no public holidays observed on this day in any nation.
"Dearest dad, you may not know but you are truly lucky to have me and I am not saying this because it is April Fool’s Day today.
Or we can send something our friend’s way"
On the occasion of April Fool’s Day, I wish that you never run out of jokes and you always enjoy laughter and smiles. Wishing a very Happy April Fool’s Day to you.” Or
“Wishing a very Happy April Fool’s Day to you. Do not underestimate fools as they are responsible for making intelligent smart.”
Or for a coworker
"There is only one reason why you are not able to finish your work and that’s because you never do it. Happy April Fool’s Day to my coworkers.”
Always remember, these jokes and messages are meant for fun and enjoyment and not to hurt anyone’s feelings. Please make sure that no one is hurt with your jokes or pranks.
The origin of April Fools’ day is Traced in the Roman tradition of Hilaria, a spring festival held around March 25 in honor of the “first day of the year longer than the night” (to us, the vernal equinox, which typically falls on March 20). Festivities included games, processions, and masquerades, during which disguised commoners could imitate nobility to devious ends.
Another story claims it to be related with change of Roman Calendar with Gregorain one. Roman Calendar started in the first week of April and Gregorian on 1st of January. When it all started, it is believed, some people who were not aware of the changes, celebrated new year in April and were termed as fools.
Every country has it’s own traditions and methods of celebrating this day
For example, France celebrates April Fools’ Day on April first by sticking a paper fish onto the backs of as many people as possible, while yelling “Poisson d’Avril!” which depicts a fish that can be caught easily. This tends to be something children partake in more than adults.
