Canadian singer-songwriter Avril Lavigne and American rapper Tyga recently called it quits after a brief relationship of 3 and a half months. However, with some recent incidents coming to light, it seems like the couple is still on very good terms which made the fans ecstatic. The former couple was spotted together in a club in Las Vegas on July 1 followed by both Avril and Tyga performing at Marshmello's 4th of July set at Encore Beach Club in Las Vegas and Tyga was seen thoroughly invested into the singer's performance. People Magazine reported that the 38-year-old Girlfriend singer and the 33-year-old rapper were seen talking and having a laugh with each other at the event. Avril Lavigne was seen whispering something into Tyga's ear in the VIP section of the club. Both of them wore black as matching colours.
The former couple's relationship went public on February 19 as they were seen sharing a PDA moment in Nobu after having a meal together followed by the couple clicked kissing outside the Mugler X Hunter Schafer party at the Paris Fashion Week on March 6. The source in the report which confirmed that the couple broke up also stated that the two were "genuinely friends and nothing more" at the time but after some days claimed that Avril's engagement to musician Mod Sun came to an end less than a year. The source said at the time, "Avril and Mod Sun have been on and off for the past two months, but are no longer together as a couple."
Post the announcement of the couple's split, Avril's former beau Mod Sun dropped cryptic hints in his song about the end of his engagement with the singer in a clip from a new song. “I remember loving you before we ever met / Saw you on a TV then I met you through a friend," sang Mod Sun in the track preview, shared via Instagram on June 21. “Then I started talking to you on the internet / Went from strangers to lovers to strangers again.” Mod captioned the post: “From strangers to lovers to strangers again… 20k pre saves + I’ll release it." The location of the music video also has a connection to the former couple's relationship as the singer is seen strolling down the streets of Paris in the video, the city where he got engaged with Avril.

Avril Lavigne is a well-known figure for female-driven pop-punk music and her achievements speak for herself as her second studio album Under Her Skin went on to top Billboard Top 200 and sold 10 million copies worldwide.She is also a 8-time Grammy Awards nominee. Tyga, on the other hand, has had a rough career with his songs getting mixed reception but his May 2018 single, "Taste" (featuring Offset), peaked at number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100, which also became his first Top 40 single since "Ayo" with Chris Brown in 2015. The song provided much needed relief to the rapper's tumultuous career.
