PM Modi to hold talks with Argentinean President Mauricio Macri

New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi on Monday, will hold talks with Argentinean President Mauricio Macri. Mr Macri who is on a 3 day visit at an invitation of Mr Modi and had arrived India on Sunday.

He had landed in Agra and also visited the Taj Mahal before reaching New Delhi.  He was received by Information and Broadcasting Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore at the airport here. Mr Macri's visit comes at a time when India and Argentina are celebrating the 70th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations.

According to sources, President Macri is being accompanied by Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies Emilio Monzo, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Jorge Faurie, Government Secretary of Modernization Andr Ibarra, Government Secretary of Agriculture, Luis Etchevehere, and other senior officials during the visit. President Macri is likely to visit Mumbai on Tuesday. The sources have also informed that there is likelihood of exchange of agreements and press statements as well.

The visiting Argentinan President is the first nation head to have arrived India after the gruesome Pulwama terror attack and the government launching diplomatic offensive trying to 'isolate' Pakistan vis-a-vis its double standards on the issue regarding terrorism.
