Arjun Kapoor breaks silence on AIB roast controversy after 8 years; 'Don't regret it at all'

After a span of 7 years, Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor finally addressed the controversies and legal actions that followed after he and Ranveer Singh were featured in the comedy event AIB Knockout held in Mumbai in December 2014. Arjun Kapoor and Bollywood actress Tara Sutaria recently appeared on Siddharth Kannan's YouTube channel for the promotions of the upcoming movie EkVillain Returns. 

At the talk show, Arjun Kapoor and Tara Sutaria were asked about their real-life 'Shaamat' (Song of EkVillain Returns) incident. While Tara Sutaria revealed that she was bullied during her college life, Arjun Kapoor chose to break his silence on the controversies and FIRs that took place after he and Ranveer Singh featured as Chief Guests at the AIB Knockout (Roast Show). 

"Me, Ranveer Singh, and Karan Johar did a show together once. We all went into trouble for that. Not very fond of it but we indeed went into trouble (Shaamat)," said Arjun Kapoor.  Thereafter, Arjun Kapoor jokingly said he now only prefers 'roast chicken'. However, on a serious note, EkVillain Returns actor said, "But I would like to add that I do not regret a single moment of that."


Arjun Kapoor's legal trouble after AIB Knockout

Multiple FIRs were lodged for using obscene and abusive language against Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in Pune & Maharashtra in 2015. Following that Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh approached the Bombay High Court saying that the FIR lodged against them is a complete violation of freedom of speech. 

Meanwhile, Arjun Kapoor will be seen in Mohit Suri's upcoming movie Ek Villain Returns. Ek Villain Returns will hit the theaters on July 29. Arjun Kapoor, John Abraham, Tara Sutaria and Disha Patani will be seen in the main role. Notably, EK Villain Returns is a sequence of Ek Villain in Which Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh, and Shraddha Kapoor were seen.
