As the Punjab assembly elections are on the head, parties are announcing their CM faces for the upcoming elections to be held on February 20, 2022. For the Aam Aadmi Party, Bhagwant Mann will be contesting as the Chief Minister candidate from the Aam Aadmi Party in the elections.
Arvind Kejriwal announced in a press conference at Mohali that Bhagwant Mann will be the face of AAP in Punjab Assembly polls 2022. AAP decided their CM face for the elections through public opinion. According to the reports, more than 21 lakh people gave their opinions in the last 3 days. And around 15 lakh from them gave their vote to Bhagwant Mann for becoming the CM face for the elections.

Arvind Kejriwal recently clarified that he is not contesting in the CM elections of Punjab. The Aam Aadmi Party had a major setback in the previous elections for not choosing a Sikh face for the elections. Correcting their mistake, this time Bhagwant Mann has been selected as the right choice for AAP through public voting.

Bhagwant Mann is currently a Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha from Sangrur constituency. He is also the head of the Aam Aadmi Party's Punjab unit. He is very popular among the people of Punjab not only as a   politician but also as a comedian and actor.

Bhagwant Mann started his political career in 2012 from Manpreet Badal's Punjab People Party but later shifted to Aam Aadmi Party. Currently, Bhagwant Mann is the most popular face from the Aam Aadmi Party. After announcing him as the CM face from Aam Aadmi Party for Punjab Elections, the party is expecting to have a positive response from the voters of Punjab.
