Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday made big announcements amidst coronavirus scare. However one of the most relief giving announcements was a relief package for 18 lakh families, elderly, widows and the disabled of Delhi. As per Kejriwal Delhi government has increased the quota of ration available in Delhi and have decided to give it free, given the effect of Corona.
On Saturday, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal increased the quota of ration for around 70 lakh people of Delhi and announced that 7.5 kg ration will be given free of cost. Apart from this, he announced to double the amount of pension to the elderly, widows and disabled people of Delhi. Keeping in mind the way the coronavirus has targeted the elderly, Arvind Kejriwal has appealed to them not to leave the parks for a few days.
Kejriwal also hinted that if needed Delhi will be under lockdown, He said, "I appeal to all of you to discontinue your morning walks for some time and stay at home. We are not doing a lockdown currently but we might in future, if necessary for your betterment and safety."
