On 7th March, the 7 phase UP elections came to it’s
end, with early exit pills arriving showing BJP returning to power. Although exit
polls have a history of being wrong too, but one can’t totally discard it.
With BJP adamant to retain UP as of now the early exit polls
suggest, the neighbouring countries media too has starting take note on it.
Various newspapers reported the story regarding exit polls in
UP :
Dawn, the leading newspaper of Pakistan reported with
the headline
“ Modi's BJP ready to win Uttar Pradesh again”.
In the report it wrote “ Even though one can not always trust
India’s exit polls, but on calculating the average of 4 exit polls it’s clear that
Yogi led BJP is going to win over 240 seats, which is enough to have a clear majority
on 403 total seats”.

On exit polls, The Express Tribune another newspaper wrote
“with this win in UP, Modi can dream of returning to his seat for the third time”.
Daily Times wrote “Even though in 2017 BJP had won
312 seats, which may be not be the case in this election, but it will still be able
to win 240 seats, which is enough to keep them in power”.
