(Report By Ashish Puri) A case of missing weapons has been registered in City Police Station-1 against an ASI posted at City Police Station-2 in Kapurthala still accused is still not arrested.
According to the FIR registered in City Police Station-1, ASI/LR Jaswinder Singh, who is posted in City Police Station-2 (Urban Estate), has received a 9 MM pistol number 18595884 model 2013 along with 30 cartridges from the weapon branch of the police department. After that, he had deposited 20 pistol rounds of ammunition on 24 September and 10 were found missing due to mishandling. Due to his negligence in duty, the department took action and registered an FIR in City Police Station-1 under section 409 of criminal breach of trust. The case is being investigated by ASI Kamaljeet Singh.
