An incident took place in Assam pointing out how humanity has got lost in this whole world. A video was shared by the Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma on his Twitter handle which showed a truck driver’s callous attitude could have cost the life of an innocent animal. The video that was put up showed a rhino coming out of the forest and getting hit by a truck passing away from there. After this, the rhino got up but the impact was that bad he fell again on the road. Then he got up again and went inside the wood limping. The startling fact is that even after seeing the rhinoceros coming out of the forest, the truck driver did not apply the brake to let him pass and also after hitting him, he did not care to stop and take a look at whether the animal was fine or not. A car also passed by from the side and witnessed the whole event but did not stop or tried to help the injured rhino. Seeing this video clearly shows that humans have started to lose their humanity in this world.
As soon as the video was put up by the CM, everyone seeing it came to support the animal stating that strict punishment should be given to the driver of the truck. Many people even stated that the government should build a certain type of infrastructure so that there is no threat to the animals and they can roam freely.
This incident caught up everyone’s eyes within a few seconds and various came out in support of the innocent animal. Firstly, the CM of Assam said that it was heartbreaking to this happening and he added further that the vehicle has been intercepted as well as fined. An IFS officer, Parveen Kaswan also came out in support and stated that this is not the first time anything like this has happened. He stated with facts that hundreds of animals become victims of overspeeding every month and government should take some serious steps to solve this menace. Famous Bollywood celebrity, Raveena Tandon has also condemned this act and said that the government should build fences or corridors to stop these incidents. She also applauded the CM for taking the action against the truck driver.
Rhinos are our special friends; we’ll not allow any infringement on their space.

In this unfortunate incident at Haldibari the Rhino survived; vehicle intercepted & fined. Meanwhile in our resolve to save animals at Kaziranga we’re working on a special 32-km elevated corridor. pic.twitter.com/z2aOPKgHsx
Friends while driving through animal corridors, least we can do is caution.
