The counting for the Assembly Election 2023 started at the polling booth on Sunday, December 3, 2023. India's 5 states underwent election- Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram. The Election Commission of India (ECI) announced that the results of Assembly Election 2023 of four states will be declared on December 3, while of Mizoram on December 4. As per the early trends shown by the Election Commission of India, BJP is leading in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. While Congress and the saffron party are having a neck-to-neck fight in Chhattisgarh.
While writing this, BJP is leading in Madhya Pradesh on 28, while Congress is on 25 seats. In Rajasthan, the BJP is leading on 35 seats, while Congress is on 28. In Chhattisgarh, the Congress party is leading on 14 seats while the BJP is leading on 12 seats. In Telangana, the BRS and Congress are having a stiff fight. While BRS is at 17, Congress is at 19. The BJP is only leading on 1 seat in Telangana. Notably, multiple exit polls had predicted the Congress may dethrone K Chandrashekar Rao's BRS in Telangana, and retain power in Chhattisgarh.
