On Tuesday afternoon, bike-borne assailants shot dead three people travelling in a car near Akalgarh Gurudwara Sahib in Ferozepur city, while one was in critical condition.
The deceased have been identified as Dilpreet Singh son of Akashdeep Singh, Akashdeep Singh, Jaspreet Kaur daughter of Akashdeep Singh, residents of Kamboj Nagar in Ferozepur city, while the name of the person injured by the girl's bullet is Anmol Singh.
The reason for the incident is not yet known, although the deceased girl Jaspreet Kaur was getting married after a month. The family had gone out to do shopping for the said wedding. The girl died on the spot due to bullet injuries, while the father and son died in the hospital.
On receiving information about the incident, a large number of police forces reached the spot and the attackers were identified by setting up a blockade. The police are also scanning CCTV footage installed on the way to identify the attackers.
