The Family Man 2 star, Manoj Bajpayee admitted that in the early 2000s he was ready to make his debut in Hollywood, but it didn’t turn out to happen. He stated that he was signed to act the lead role of an international movie after the release of Pinjar and the performance was to be stared with Justin Theroux, Frank Langella, Lynn Collins, and many others.
The actor said, “I was about to get my second National Award for Pinjar and after that, I was supposed to go to Jaisalmer. After my National Award function, the next day, I traveled to Jaisalmer. There I was going to do a proper Hollywood film which was being directed by an NRI. I was playing the lead, Lynn Collins was my female counterpart and Justin Theroux was playing one role, Frank Langella was playing a role in that film and there were (a few other) actors in that film. Everyone was thinking my life's going to be so huge after that film because I was playing the lead with Justin Theroux, Lynn Collins, Frank Langella.”

He also went to Jaisalmer for the project he met a famous astrologer and veteran actor, Shrivallabh Vyas father who told him that the project holds no future. He also stated the same in a session of Clubhouse with the Bollywood Film Club, which was moderated by Aniruddha Guha as well as Janice Sequeria. He meets the actor Shrivallabh Vyas, who requested the actor to have lunch with his parents and to show his birth chart to his dad who is a well-known astrologer in Rajasthan.
The actor showed the chart and asked him to tell about the scope of the film and on seeing the astrologer said, ‘Nothing would happen” and to this Manoj said to see again if there was something, to which he again stated, “No, I can’t see anything.” But even after listening to the veteran actor’s dad, one half of his heart said something will happen, but in reality the actor went for the shoot, nothing happened and they came back.
