To justify the demand to set up the 'National Commission for Men', #MenToo is also among the top hashtags that are breaking the internet. Furthermore, netizens are digging deep into Atul Subhash's wife Nikita Singhania, and the family court's judge Rita Kaushik.

Atul Subhash's death development

An FIR has been registered against four people in the suicide case of an AI engineer Atul Subhash, 34, in Bengaluru. The FIR names Atul Subhash's wife Nikita Singhania, mother-in-law Nisha Singhania, brother-in-law Anurag Singhania and uncle-in-law Sushil Singhania.

Atul's brother Vikas Kumar has lodged a complaint at Marathahalli police station in Bengaluru. Based on this, the police have registered a case under Section 108 (abetment to suicide), Section 3(5) (when two or more people are involved, collective responsibility arises) of the Indian Penal Code (BNS).

Atul Subhash's death has been a topic of discussion after his video went viral on X. Before taking the extreme step, Atul released a 1 hour 20-minute video. In this, Atul narrated his ordeal. Atul had also demanded that if those who tortured him were acquitted, then the ashes should be thrown into the gutter outside the court.

Atul has also made serious allegations against a judge from Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh. He has written in his letter that the judge had asked for Rs 5 lakh to settle the case. Atul also wrote that his wife and mother-in-law had asked him to take his own life and the said judge laughed at this.

The body of Atul Subhash, originally from Bihar, was recovered from his flat in Manjunath Layout in Bengaluru. When the neighbors broke the door of his house, his body was found hanging from a noose. A placard with the words 'Justice is Due' was found in the room. On the complaint of Atul's family, the police have registered a case against Atul's wife and his wife's family for abetting suicide.

Atul Subhash has also written a 24-page letter to President Draupadi Murmu. In this, he wrote about the flaws in the country's criminal justice system and talked about the trend of filing false cases against men. In another note, he wrote that he is claiming himself innocent for all the cases filed by his wife. These include cases of dowry resistance law and atrocities against women. He said, 'I request the court to stop harassing my parents and brother in these false cases.'

Read what Atul wrote in his letter

Atul revealed that he got married in 2019 after getting a match from a matrimony site. The next year he had a son. He said that his wife and wife's family always kept demanding money from him, which he also fulfilled. He had given lakhs of rupees to his wife's family, but when he stopped giving more money, the wife left Bangalore with their son in 2021.

Atul said, "I give her 40 thousand rupees as maintenance every month, but now she is demanding 2-4 lakh rupees per month as expenses for raising the child. My wife neither allows me to meet my son nor ever lets me talk to him."

"Whether it is a puja or a wedding, Nikita used to ask for at least 6 sarees and a gold set every time. I gave more than 20 lakh rupees to my mother-in-law, but she never returned it."

Atul said that his wife alleged that he had demanded Rs 10 lakh as dowry, due to which her father died of a heart attack. Atul said that this allegation is like a bad story of a film, because my wife has already accepted in the court during questioning that her father was suffering from a serious illness for a long time and was undergoing treatment in AIIMS for heart diseases and diabetes for the last 10 years. The doctors had given him only a few months to live, that's why we got married in a hurry.

Atul said that my wife first demanded Rs 1 crore to settle this case, but later increased it to 3 crores'. He said that when he told the judge of the family court of Jaunpur about this demand of 3 crores, she also supported his wife.

Atul said that I told the judge that the NCRB report shows that many men in the country are committing suicide due to false cases, then the wife interrupted and said why don't you also commit suicide. The judge laughed at this and said that these cases are always false, you should think about your family and settle the case. I will take 5 lakh rupees to settle the case.

Who is Nikita Singhania?

Notably, Atul Singhania's wife Nikita Singhania's photo has also surfaced on social media. Furthermore, Nikita Singhania's LinkedIn profile has also been deleted due to the ongoing controversy and legal case. Since the matter is subjudice, True Scoop has decided not to incorporate the viral photo of Nikita Singhania.

It is pertinent to mention here that a major public outrage has been directed at Accenture. It is alleged that Atul Subhash’s wife Nikita works here. Many social media users have demanded that the company terminate her employment. One user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote, “Dear Accenture, you have 24 hours to fire the murderer of Atul Subhash. Your time starts now." Another demanded, “Accenture, remove this woman from whatever position she holds."
