Sikh for Justice (SFJ) chief and Khalistan supporter Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, has now issued threats to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Lok Sabha candidates. Terrorist Pannun threatened Ludhiana candidate Ravneet Bittu and Faridkot candidate Hans Raj Hans over their statements regarding the farmers’ opposition against BJP. Pannun also asked Bittu to remember his grandfather, former CM Beant Singh.
Khalistan sympathiser and designated terrorist Pannun said in his video that, “Ravneet Bittu and Hans Raj Hans should listen. You have threatened to kill the farmers of Punjab. This is Punjab, here murder is avenged by murder. Bittu, remember your grandfather and Baba Beant Singh.” Pannun's message is that if even one farmer is murdered, the revenge for the murder will be murder.
Farmers’ protest against BJP
Farmers across Punjab are denying BJP candidates entry into their villages for campaigning. Farmer leaders stop BJP candidates and raise opposition slogans. A few days ago, Hans Raj Hans had said, “They won’t fall in line without a beatdown. Just wait until the 2nd (June), and see how they get beaten.”
At the same time, Bittu had said that the farmers stand with four flags and stop them from going to villages. They are making videos and keeping an account of every single one of them, Bittu had said.
There was a lot of uproar over these statements by the Lok Sabha candidates, following which Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had also filed a complaint against Hans Raj Hans with the Election Commission of India (ECI).
