· Jewellery brand controversy: Recently, in August 2024, Avneet Kaur was accused by a jewellery brand. They accused her for fraud. The brand claimed that she failed to tag the brand on her social media when wearing their jewellery and she also refused to pay for the items as promised.
The brand said, “We sent 9 pieces of jewellery to Avneet Kaur. She promised that she would tag us in her social media posts. During the one-month journey, she wore our jewellery 7 times but did not give us credit. Our PR team connected with her stylist several times and asked for credit, but we only got false promises.”
· Plastic Surgery: Actress Avneet made headlines for her alleged cosmetic surgery. Netizens believed that Avneet has got her lip fillers done as seen in her pictures on social media.
However, the actress has never accepted that she has undergone any kind of plastic surgery. One of the users wrote, “So sad that young people also change their features for money and popularity, such an insult to the parents because indirectly it means you don't like your natural features.”
· Tiku Weds Sheru: Avneet Kaur faced backlash for a kissing scene in the movie. She had a kissing scene with Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Viewers criticised the scene because of the age gap between the two actors as she was 21 and Nawaz was 49.
However, actor Nawaz defended the scene and said, “Romance is ageless. The problem is that the young men have no romance left. We are from the times when romance was something else. We would be in love and be in 'ishq' for years. Today, Shah Rukh Khan continues to do romantic roles because the young generation is ‘nalli’ (useless). They don't know romance.”
