The New Zealand vs Pakistan T20 series on Wednesday concluded with the Black Caps whitewashing Shaheen Afridi & Co in the third and final T20 match at University Oval, Dunedin. The NZvsPAK 3rd T20 witnessed sixes galore after Finn Allen's 137 runs with the help of 16 sixes. In response, former Pakistani skipper Babar Azam reached the third back-to-back half-century of the series but everyone else fell apart resulting in a humiliating 3-0 series loss. However, it was Pakistani wicket-keeper batter Azam Khan who grabbed the social media headlines when DJ Played former WWE superstar Big Show's theme song when he came out to bat. Hence, Azam Khan Big Show video is going viral on social media and Pakistani fans are not happy with the choice of song that the DJ played.
In the viral Azam Khan Big Show video, when the 25-year-old batter came to bat at University Oval, Dunedin, the DJ started to play the Big Show theme song. For the unversed, Big Show was known to be a giant and overweight superstar of the WWE. The Big Show theme song outraged Pakistani fans who stated that the DJ fat-shamed Azam Khan. Azam Khan often remains under the scanner due to his fitness. He is the son of former Pakistani wicket-keeper batter Moin Khan. Moin Khan in his multiple interviews has been asked about Azam Khan's fitness. However, the former cricketer has always maintained that it is Azam Khan's choice and he aware about the fitness standard set by cricketers globally.
Despite the flashy entry, Azam was not able to trouble the scorers much as he fell for 10 off 7 balls, managing a lone six. Ultimately, Pakistan was defeated in the final T20 by 45 runs. For those who haven't followed Pakistan cricket, Azam Khan was brought back to the T20I squad for the series in New Zealand after Shaheen Afridi took over as captain. However, Azam has not managed to live up to expectations, scoring 22 runs in 3 T20Is. The wicketkeeper has scored only 29 runs in 8 T20Is so far despite having had a good run in T20 leagues, including the Pakistan Super League.
