Mansa police questioned Punjabi musicians Babbu Maan and Mankirt Aulakh for more than five hours on Wednesday in connection with the death of singer-politician Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, also known as Sidhu Moose Wala.
SSP Nanak Singh of Mansa reported that Maan and Aulakh showed up for questioning in relation to the Moose Wala murder case.
The police have also summoned music director Nishan Singh, the son of senior police officer Baba Sandhu, and two citizens of Muktsar's Bhangchari village.
According to sources, both singers were questioned about their "connection with gangsters" and a few details surrounding the murder of the Moose Wala.
The singers claimed that their altercation with Moose Wala was contained to the stage only. They didn't start the fight; it was someone else. He is unrelated to the gangsters who killed Moose Wala. The gangsters didn't interact with him either.
It should be mentioned that Babbu Maan and Sidhu Moose Wala frequently engaged in online arguments and disagreements.
Nearly a month has passed since Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav and Moose Wala's father, Balkaur Singh, met at Chandigarh's Police Headquarters. Balkaur Singh had previously stated that his son's singing had given him a global following, but a few bad apples turned out to be adversaries of his profession.

On May 29, Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, also known as Sidhu Moose Wala, was fatally shot in Punjab's Mansa district. The Lawrence-Bishnoi gang member Goldy Brar, who resides in Canada, has confessed to killing the Moose Wala.
