What was supposed to be an evening to remember, Punjabi singer Babbu Maan's performance was cut short after a group of drunk men created a ruckus at an event. As per reports, on Sunday, Babbu Maan was called in a sports event- Kabaddi Cup in Baddowal village of Ludhiana. Maan was invited so that more and more people would attend the event. However, the event took a violent turn when chaos erupted during a live performance by popular Punjabi singer Babbu Maan. The incident unfolded as a group of drunk youths began creating a disturbance, forcing police to intervene.
As per reports, after the drunk fans started hurling chairs and bottles, DSP Varinder Singh Khosa swung into action. DSP Varinder Singh Khosa climbed onto the stage, took the microphone, and appealed to Babbu Maan to vacate the area for safety reasons. To control the lawlessness, the DSP immediately ordered a lathi charge to control the disruptive crowd. Police forces swiftly pushed the miscreants out of the arena and have since begun identifying those involved using video footage.
As per reports, Station House Officer Amritpal Singh confirmed that the police are working closely with event organizers and using all available video evidence to identify the culprits. Legal proceedings have already been initiated against those found responsible.
“Such behavior tarnishes the sanctity of sports festivals. These events are meant to keep youth away from drugs, not to turn into spectacles of disorder. Such actions will not be tolerated," said DSP Khosa.
