New Delhi: Dr Babita Gaur from Delhi Public Library with additional charge as Head and Vigilance Officer, was felicitated with "College Librarian of the Year Award 2019" by Society for promotion of Libraries, in an International Conference held at BBAU Lucknow from 22-24 November 2019.
She was bestowed for her meritorious work as former Librarian of Gargi College, University of Delhi. She has exceptional diligence in the field of Library Science for almost 20 years in various academic and autonomous institutions. She has been actively involved in participating and presenting papers in various National and International Conferences and had been program coordinator for conferences and lectures for INSET training program.

Her belief that libraries are for the community and should fulfil its role as an education provider to uplift the society is evident through various book talks, health talks, library and career orientation programs, workshops among other events being organised by her at various platforms.
Her enthusiasm to learn and give back to society to make Libraries a welcoming place for readers is very well evident in the way Delhi Public Library is expanding its services and readership.
