A woman from the UK thinks that she has created history for the fastest labor after giving birth to her baby in just 27 seconds with only one push. How unique! Sophie Bugg, aged 29 was 38 weeks pregnant when she woke up in the middle of the night to use her washroom at her home in Basingstoke, Hampshire in the UK. To everyone's surprise the next minute she came outside the washroom with a baby coming out of her.
Her husband, Chris aged 32 was shocked and worried about the most unusual thing happening in front of him. He had to act fast as Sophie was standing there with the baby’s head between her legs. Later, with just one push baby Millie was born in her father’s arms.
In an interview with Daily Mail Sophie said, “she was ridiculously fast! One moment I’m texting my friend on the toilet and seconds later, I have got a baby in my arms. Actually pushing her out from when my friend on the phone told me to push only lasted 27 seconds, it was so fast”. Further, she adds, “ I had no pain and my water hadn’t broken, there was no realization I was having her at all. It sounds really crude but it just felt like I need to go for a poo”.
When
her baby was out she was literally cradling her newborn daughter with the
placenta still inside her for almost 12 minutes before the medical help
arrived. Then the umbilical cord was cut and Sophie and baby Millie were taken
to the hospital. After a couple of hours, they were discharged from the hospital
in good health.
