On Sunday, Punjab CM’s new cabinet ministers took oath at Raj Bhawan in Chandigarh. As many as 15 MLAs took oath as Ministers. Besides, those dropped from the previous Amarinder Singh cabinet include Balbir Singh Sidhu, Gurpreet Singh Kangar, Rana Gurmeet Sodhi, Sadhu Singh Dharamsot and Sundar Shyam Arora.
On Balbir Singh’s was dropped, Manish Tewari, Congress MP from Anandpur Sahib tweeted, “Who should be a Minister or should not be is CM’s prerogative. However, I am constrained to point out that @BalbirSinghMLA (Sidhu Sahib) as Health Minister went way beyond the call of duty during the worst days of COVID-19. His selflessness was unparalleled.”
He also shared an interview link with the tweet.
After losing the post, Balbir Singh Sidhu got emotional in front of the media and said that tell me my fault. While talking to the media, his eyes were filled with tears. And he said, “What is my fault, please tell.”
He further said that I am loyal to the Congress party and Sonia Gandhi and later told about the achievements as a minister.
