Gangster Davinder Bambhia group’s sharpshooters involved in Vicky Middukhera murder, Police interrogating PU students

Vikram Singh alias Vicky Middukhera, vice-president of Youth Akali Dal in Mohali and former head of Soi Group in PU, was shot with 13 bullets by a sharpshooter from the Bambiha Group at around 11 am on Saturday. At the same time, the Mohali police kept searching for the accused in the same case that went on an entire night. Mohali police raided 8 places in Mohali including Punjab and Haryana in search of the accused. 

The police claim that after the raids they have got leads that the Bambiha group is behind the murder. Meanwhile, the Mohali police are interrogating some old PU students.  

It is also claimed that there were several mishappenings in the Punjab University old elections, and Vicky was targeted because he was close to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. After the Bambiha group's claim of killing the youth leader, Police verification the claims has pointed towards the group invoking in the murder. 

SSP Mr Satinder Paul Singh, Mohali informed that after the Bambhia group's murder claim city police is probing every angle and has conducted several raids. There has been no arrest by far in the case, however, the suspicion is on the Bambhia group, he said, adding that police are working round the clock to arrest the culprits. 

Let us tell you that the sharpshooters had carried out the incident in the market of Sector-71. Davinder Bambiha Group killed 7 people in half an hour after 6 pm. Twenty people have taken responsibility for the murder.

Soon after the crime was committed, a post on Facebook said that Vicky used to give key information to his rival group Lawrence Bishnoi, so he got him killed. In the Rana Kandowali murder case, who was killed in Amritsar hospital three days ago, the Bambiha group took revenge by killing Vicky in Mohali.

The white I-20 car used by the four shooters in the crime to kill Vicky was also looted, said a police source. This was known after the police reached the car's owner. The owner said that they looted the car at the gunpoint in Derabassi on Friday. After the video of the car surfaced on social media, the Derabassi police could trace the owner. The police are investigating if the car was looted before the incident and if the number plate was forged.

According to the sources, former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal called the Punjab DGP and asked for the arrest of the accused taking immediate effect in the case. 

It was after Badal's request that Encounter Specialist Vikram Brar was appointed to solve the case. Nine teams are presently probing into the case. 

Seven hours after student leader Vicky's murder, the Bambiha group took the responsibility of killing him on a Facebook post, citing personal rivalry and that he was involved with their enemies Lawrence. 

The post also mentioned that Lucky Bhai used to provide Lawrence with numbers of the city's businessmen to artists and the group used to call and demand ransom. 

The postmortem report that underwent in the Phase-6 Civil hospital by three-panel doctors, said that 13 bullets were removed from the victim's body. Pistol numbered 30 was used in the murder. Two bullets were removed from Vicky's head, one from the neck, one from the arm and the remaining 9 from the abdomen, chest and back. 

Vicky Middukhera's dead body has been handed to his family and his last rites have been performed at 11 today at his parental village.
