Bandish Bandits Season 2 Storyline
Bandish Bandits Season 2 starts with the sad demise of Pandit Radhe Mohan Rathod Ji played by Naseeruddin Shah in season 1. Following Pandit Mohan's demise, Radhe starts to face new problems in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. For the unversed, Radhe won Sangeet Samrat in Season 1 and his grandfather made him the Head of Rathod Gharana.
However, things start to go haywire, after a book on the life of Pandit Radhe Mohan Ji spills his 'so-called' dirty secrets. It was found that Pandit Mohan's son talked to a writer in a drunken state in season 1 and revealed his 'dirty' secrets. As a result, the Royalities of Jodhpur banned the Rathod Gharana from the Palace and Sangeet Samrat events.
On the other hand, Tamanna who abruptly exited season 1 after Radhe won Sangeet Samrat is starting fresh by joining a famous music school named The Royal Himalayan Music School in Kasauli.
In the musical school, Tamanna finds her mojo in singing back that she lost during her collaboration with Radhe in Season 1. Not only this, but Tammana gets selected in the college's band that will participate in the mega Indian Band Championship (IBC). It was Tamanna who gave the name to the college band- Royalty Free.
Who won the IBC in Bandish Bandist Season 2?
(Disclaimer: Spoilers Ahead) Before the IBC grand finale, Radhe's classical band and Tamanna's Royalty Free go head to head in the semi-final in the Juggalbandi round. Tamanna selects a tough task by choosing Queen Eli's songs to be sung on the stage by both teams. Queen Eli is Tamanna's dream pop star, as it was also mentioned in season 1.
Although Tamanna gives a tough fight in the juggalbandi, it was Radhe who won the round pushing Royalty Free on the verge of elimination. However, Royalty Free qualifies for the grand finale after winning in the last round.
In the ground finale, it was Tamanna's Royalty Free band that went on to win the Indian Band Championship (IBC) courtesy of her 'story-telling' like composition.
