Banks will remain closed in multiple states on the occasion of the 648th birth anniversary of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji on 12th February 2025. Additionally, many states have also declared a public holiday on this day.

Holidays in banks are determined by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Banks will remain closed in some states on the occasion of Shri Guru Ravidas Jayanti. Himachal Pradesh and Haryana are the states where banks will be closed.

Apart from this, banks will also remain closed due to local elections in Aizawl (Mizoram). Banking services such as UPI, internet banking and mobile banking will continue as normal in these states.

Many states have declared public holidays on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Shri Guru Ravidas ji, who was a prominent poet-saint of the Bhakti movement between the 15th and 16th centuries.

The governments of Punjab and Haryana have declared this day a public holiday and government offices and schools will remain closed in cities like Mohali, Chandigarh, Gurugram and Faridabad.

In Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand too, government offices, schools and other public institutions will remain closed on 12th February 2025.

However, this day has been declared a limited holiday in Delhi, which means that all government offices, independent bodies and public undertakings will remain closed but other areas will remain operational as usual.

While banks will remain closed in some states on 12th February, public holiday has been declared in some states. However, digital banking services like UPI, internet banking and mobile banking will remain available despite these holidays.
