On the occasion of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti and Veer Surendra Sai Jayanti, banks will remain closed in three states of India on January 23, 2025. From government or semi-government banks like SBI, Indian Bank to private banks like HDFC will remain closed tomorrow to mark the occasion of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti and Veer Surendra Sai Jayanti. The three states include- West Bengal, Odisha and Tripura. 

Notably, January 23 is celebrated as Parakram Diwas to honour the legacy of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. On the other hand, Veer Surendra Sai was a famous freedom fighter and tribal leader of Odisha.

Banks will also remain closed on January 25 and 26

Apart from this, banks will remain closed on January 25 as it is the fourth Saturday of the month and January 26 is Sunday. January 26 is celebrated as Republic Day in the entire India i.e. a National Holiday.  Even during bank holidays, customers can use online banking services like normal days. Fund transfers, bill payments, and other services can be availed through mobile apps and internet banking.
