Before visiting your bank branch in November, make a list of important days when banks will be closed.
Private and public sector banks across the country will be closed for more than half of November, although online banking services will continue to function.
Banks would be closed for as many as 17 days out of the 30 days in the second last month of the year, due to ongoing festivities in India as well as weekends. So, if you want to visit any
bank branches in November, make a note to avoid any inconvenience and do your work efficiently.
You should also keep in mind that holidays are state-specific, and only certain branches of banks in different states will be closed on certain days.
For example, on Kannada Rajyostsava, banks in Bengaluru will be closed, but services will be available in other areas of the country. Bank branches in Bihar may be closed for Chhath Puja.
The number of holidays has been declared at 11 by the Reserve Bank of India, according to an official list. All of the month's Sundays, as well as the second and fourth Saturdays, are
included. The list of holidays provided by the RBI is divided into three groups. State-level celebrations, religious holidays, and festival celebrations are all included.
