March is just around the corner filled with festivities and important cultural events. It is therefore advised to complete all your bank related obligations before the month begins. Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the full schedule for all the holidays in March. From Holi to Good Friday here is a list of days on which the banks will be closed around India:
8 March: Mahashivratri
Banks will be closed in Assam, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu, Srinagar and Jharkhand
9 March: Second Saturday
10 March: Ramzaan
Banks will be closed in all states on first day of Ramzaan.
23 March: Shaheed Bhagat Singh Diwas
Banks will be closed on Martyrdom of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
25 March: Holi
Banks will be closed on account of festival of colours, Holi
29 March: Good Friday
Banks will be closed due to Good Friday
Online banking services will still be available on the day of the holidays. But it is advised to wrap up the banking obligations before the month starts.
