According to the list of holidays released by RBI, banks will remain closed from 11th January to 15th January. Please note that bank holidays are not the same in all states. Some holidays are valid all over the country, while some are only in specific states.

Check the list of bank holidays so that you do not face any problems. However, you can use digital banking services as well as ATMs during these holidays.

Complete list of bank holidays in January 2025:

  • January 11, (Saturday): Banks will remain closed across the country due to the second Saturday of the month.
  • January 12, (Sunday): Banks will remain closed across the country due to Sunday.
  • January 13, (Monday): Banks will remain closed in Punjab and surrounding areas due to Lohri festival.
  • January 14, (Tuesday): Banks will remain closed in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh on the occasion of Makar Sankranti and Pongal.
  • January 15, (Wednesday): Banks will be closed in Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Assam on account of Thiruvalluvar Day, Magh Bihu and Tusu Puja.
  • January 16, (Thursday): Bank holiday on the occasion of Ujjavar Thirunal in Tamil Nadu.
  • January 19, (Sunday): Banks will remain closed across the country due to Sunday.
  • January 23, (Thursday): Banks will remain closed in Odisha, West Bengal and Tripura on the occasion of Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti.
  • January 25, (Saturday): Banks will remain closed across the country due to the fourth Saturday of the month.
  • January 26, (Sunday): Banks will remain closed across the country on Republic Day.
  • January 30, (Thursday): Banks will remain closed in Sikkim on the occasion of Sonam Losar.
