Banks are going to remain closed for multiple days between 3rd and 16th February. These days include second and fourth Saturdays, weekly holidays (Sunday) and regional holidays of various states. However, online banking services like UPI, net banking and mobile banking will remain operational during this time.

According to the list of bank holidays released by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), banks remain closed across the country on national holidays, while regional holidays are applicable only in the respective state or region. The RBI shares the official holiday calendar through its website, also informs banks and financial institutions.

List of bank holidays between 3 & 16 February:

  • February 3 - Saraswati Puja (Tripura - Agartala)
  • February 8 - Second Saturday (Banks closed across the country)
  • February 9 - Sunday (Banks closed across the country)
  • February 11 – Thaipusam (Tamil Nadu - Chennai)
  • February 12- Guru Ravidas Jayanti (Himachal Pradesh - Shimla)
  • February 15 - Lui-Ngai-Ni (Manipur - Imphal)
  • February 16 - Sunday (Banks closed across the country)

Balance check, money transfer and bill payments can be done through the bank website or mobile app. Bank holidays are not the same in all the states. Some holidays are valid all over the country, while some are only in specific states. However, even on bank holidays, ATMs and online banking services are available for the customers. They can withdraw cash and complete online transactions without any interruption unless prior notifications specific service unavailability.
