A demand of Rs 1 crore has been made from businessman Ankit Goyal in Rama Mandi of Bathinda, Punjab. On WhatsApp, the caller has threatened him for ransom by telling himself to be a part of the Lawrence gang. There was a shooting at the businessman's house a few days ago. Police have opened an investigation and filed a case.
Following the death of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, the police are taking action, but the process of collecting ransom from people in the name of gangsters is constantly coming to the fore.
A WhatsApp call has been placed to Ankit Goyal. The caller revealed himself to the part of the Lawrence Gang. Earlier on September 17, shots were fired outside the businessman's house. Death threats have been made against the businessman's family members if the ransom is not paid. Currently, the police have filed a case against unidentified people under numerous provisions, including the Arms Act, in response to Ankit Goyal's complaint.
