Mumbai: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday announced 15 men squad for the upcoming ICC cricket world cup 2019 going to take place in England and Wales starting from 30th May.
With a focus to strengthen the all-round department of Indian Cricket team, BCCI preferred all-rounder Vijay Shankar in place of Ambati Rayudu.
From past one year India's number 4 was tentative. However, Shankar's inclusion in the squad will put a halt on the tentative number 4.

MSK Prasad, India's chief selector briefed media in Mumbai and said "selection was not based upon the form of players in the ongoing IPL."
He also added, "Committee covered the best possible squad for the 2019 Cricket World Cup and all bases have been covered in the 15-man squad led by Virat Kohli."
The team enjoys the strength of seven bowlers. But as a backup option left arm pacer Khaleel Ahmed and the young speedster Navdeep Saini have been put in the back up option.
Saini and Ahmed will fly to England if there any injury happens among the bowlers
