Cricket Australia has been dealt a major blow with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) reportedly declaring that the team will not travel to Brisbane in a letter.
According to SEN reporter Jimmy Smith, the BCCI formally wrote to Cricket Australia speaking against the quarantine protocols that might be placed on them in Queensland.
The call comes after the Queensland government wouldn't yield on its position that the groups would need to be exposed to in isolation for the fourth Test after permitting an exclusion for the two India and Australia to cross the NSW-Queensland line.
"I'm getting this immediately that the BCCI has officially written to Cricket Australia about not getting to Brisbane," Smith told SEN.

"The BCCI has officially written to Cricket Australia about the restrictions which will be forced on the Indian group in Brisbane.
"They are against that. They've been in lockdown for an all-encompassing timeframe a large portion of these individuals was playing in the IPL in Abu Dubai and afterward came here to Australia.

"A large portion of them are related to that for an all-encompassing period, at that time that they had visits before that where they were in lockdown.
"So they're stating 'no, excessively prohibitive, whenever we've passed the conventions, for what reason wouldn't we be ready to stroll around just like the remainder of the individuals within the network.
"The appeal is that they might prefer to not attend Brisbane."
